Synopsis
Written in 1881, "Ghosts" is a tragic exploration of the effects that past sins can have on present day life. The plot hinges on the widowed Helen Alving, who is haunted by the depths of her late husband's depravity as she uncovers his secrets, all the while fighting to uphold her family's respectable facade against the judgment of their society.
