A comically self-aware look at the life of a star, "Present Laughter" touches on fame, ego, mid-life crises, and the contrasts between public personas and private lives. When a self-obsessed actor's home is invaded by various women and a crazed playwright (all vying for his attention), his life spirals into a chaotic weekend of mistaken identities and romantic entanglement.
